Strathmore Gardens has six (and counting) magical outdoor spaces — The Walled Garden is bursting with white and pink roses, The Lakefront is as idyllic as it is timeless, The Glade is a leafy oasis, and Wisteria Grove is made for meandering. We invite you to utilise the grounds in their entirety, taking your guests on a journey in every sense of the word.
The Boardroom is the perfect setting for your next work event. While the building itself is 200 years old, setting a tone for big-picture, long-lasting thinking, the boardroom is freshly renovated to ensure comfort and convenience. What’s more, with the gardens and courtyard easily accessible through picturesque double doors, nature is just a few steps away too.
The Barn comprises our largest event space, the loft, the stables and an outdoor lawn. The Barn is designed to dazzle, with eye-catching arched windows and rich timber floors, and just outside, fragrant lavender hedges frame the lawn. If you fancy a touch of history, look no further than the loft’s vaulted timber ceiling or the preserved horse stables.
Catering
Whatever the event we have the catering to suit. Utilising our own gardens and hyper-local ingredients we aim to showcase the finest that Tasmania has to offer. Check out our sample menus or contact us to create a personalised menu just for you.

Strathmore Gardens is located on the lands of the Palawa in Lutruwita/Tasmania. We pay our respect to the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community and their Elders past and present. We also pay respect to the traditional custodians of the lands, seas, ecosystems and species that support life on this planet and acknowledge their vast and valuable knowledge systems.
